Wednesday July 5 and Thursday July 6.
The course will be marked but not marshalled during these two practice days. It will also be open to other riders in the bike park so please use caution and respect other riders on the trails.
The race will consist of 5-6 timed special stages with transfers made combining lift access and riding (not timed but there will be time limits on each transfer stage). Weather permitting there will be a total descending time of at least 30 minutes. Exact details of the special stages will be released on Tuesday July 4 at 18:00. Motion/fun may race one less stage than the elite classes.
The final course is dependent on current weather conditions and will be decided on Friday morning at the race organisation's discretion.
Elite class racers, Junior and M40 need a national UCI approved license (available through your UCI approved bike club) or sport license (baslicens, also available through your bike club, so contact them or join one!). Motionär (fun) can race without a license though they are only insured under race day and not for training. Those wishing to race tävlings class may also do so with a one day license, also at a cost of 150kr paid at registration. All riders must show a valid license at registration or buy a one-day license.
Not included in the entrance fee. Skistar Åre has a special discount for race participants on race day, 174 SEK.
The Åre Bike Festival Pass gets you a 15% discount on a lift pass during the entire festival. Race participants can purchase the festival pass for a discounted fee at 280 SEK (normal price is 450 SEK). The festival pass is packed with amazing offers you do not want to miss out on. Get yours here!
